Adele Channing is a recurring character in season five of The L Word. She is portrayed by Malaya Rivera Drew and debuts in "Look Out, Here They Come!".
Adele is an aspiring filmmaker who is obsessed with Jenny Schecter.

Adele went to the University of Central Florida where she studied Film. She had to turn down a scholarship to the prestigious New York University, which was her original school of choice, so as to stay in Orlando, Florida, to look after her mother, who had a nervous breakdown after her father left. During this period, Adele went through a very difficult time as her mother would take her anger out on her. Adele found solace in reading Jenny Schecter's Some of Her Parts; she has since read the book 25 times and credits it with saving her life. Ever since then, Adele became obsessed with Jenny and has read all of her books multiple times. In college, Adele adapted Jenny's Thus Spoke Sarah Schuster short story into a screenplay for her women's studies class. After graduating, Adele moved to West Hollywood, California, to be closer to Jenny.[1]
The L Word[]
In "Look Out, Here They Come!", Max and Kit approach Adele at The Planet after noticing that she is reading Jenny's Some of Her Parts book. Adele tells them that Jenny is her favorite author and that she has read Some of Her Parts five times.
When Jenny's assistant quits, Adele makes herself indispensable to Jenny as her new assistant and proves herself right away by helping Jenny prepare to attend a wedding. Adele is soon shown to be obsessed with Jenny, going so far as to copy her wardrobe, hairstyle, mannerisms, and slowly ruins her life.
