Sophie Suarez is a main character on The L Word: Generation Q. She is portrayed by Rosanny Zayas and debuts in "Let's Do It Again".
Sophie is a TV producer who's always pushing to use her public platform to cover real, substantial issues. She's very quick to put other peoples’ needs before her own, which often leads to problems with those closest to her.

Sophie is the daughter of Virginia Suarez and the older sister of Maribel Suarez. She is of African and Latin-American ancestry, and is fluent in Spanish. Her father walked out on their family on the day that her younger sister Maribel was born.[1]
Sophie attended graduate school where one of her friends when on to become politician Kamala Harris's aide. Sophie herself interviewed Kamala for a documentary she made on criminal justice reform back when Kamala was a district attorney running for senate.[2] Sophie later joined the Alice talk show in its second season[1] as a producer.[2]
